Sacred ascend is a proposal for a church with a synergic relation between communal gathering activities and formal church spaces. Sacred ascend hereby reflects on the essential meeting between profane and divine. In the church room, man made order and divinity encounters. The perception of the church room is in contrast to the rest of the building, it is characterized by an organic structure created by repeated geometric elements. The interior is complex but seems to have a hidden order. The hiddne order is the structure; a self-supporting system that becomes an architectural instrument, creating a solution to the acoustic challenge and brings light into the space that enhances the solemnity.
